With the release of this Winter Issue, The Literary Nest is ready to enter into its third year of publication. A time for the transition. Also, it’s transition time for the US. Whatever your thoughts and feelings on the current transition, we as writers need to use our voices to uphold the truth, decency, and human kindness. In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.,

“History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.”

Since every transition, for better or worse, gives rise to something new, the theme for the upcoming Spring Issue is “renewal.” Stay tuned for a surprise announcement or two.
